My Fall Uniform

In a contrast from Monday’s outfit post, today I am sharing my everyday fall uniform. Oversized cardigan? Check. Comfy tee? Check. Good American jeans? Check. Autumnal colored bootie? Check. This outfit is the epitome of my fall uniform. It’s comfortable, versatile, accessible, easily repeatable. Trust me, I’ve been wearing a version of this every single day recently.

Shop Fall Uniform:

Although math has always been my weakest link, this is one equation I am good at: sweater + jeans + bootie = perfection. This isn’t rocket science, but you guys know I love buying pieces I can wear over and over again. I love shopping my closet. I love reusing staple pieces for different seasons. In fact, this oversize cardigan is the only thing “new” about this outfit. I got the jeans and tee at the Anniversary sale, the booties last year, and the bag when I went to London at the beginning of the year. But, this feels like a brand new outfit!

A common misconception is that bloggers are always shopping and always buying new things, which is partly true. But the real truth is, we are just masters of repurposing pieces to make them look new or freshen things up. Take this tee for instance. You can wear it like this, tied up (for even more versatility, try tying it in the back or side too), or you can tuck it into the jeans, you can wear it normally, layer it under a blazer to dress it up… the options are endless.

The sweater comes in three colors, I am wearing “spice brown” — but I love the olive green too! I love how oversized and comfy it is. I also have my eye on this one — the collar and the tie sleeve are too cute to pass up!
