As you all know, we are in the process of building our new home. If I’m being honest… I am equal parts happy and sad about it. Sad because our current house was the first house that Joe and I really made our own.

We had worked on other homes and renovation projects together in the past – but this was the first house that truly felt like home. I think I am most sad because I brought all three of my babies home from the hospital to this house. But I am SO happy because I truly feel that this is the right decision for where our family is at right now. We’ll have more room for the kids to play, a dedicated home office for me, more entertaining space, and extra room for **hopefully** more babies. 🙂 I am also happy because I am SO excited to make another house a home with Joe. Whenever we take on projects like these together – we have so much fun, and I really feel that it makes us even stronger as a couple.

The new home’s vibe – if you’ve been following along on stories you know – is VERY modern. It’s not entirely my style. That is for another blog post altogether – hopefully next week – but I am embracing the modern aesthetic and rolling with it. That being said – I am SO excited to step up our game for our new master bedroom. If we’re being honest I started a little bit early. 🙂 I just couldn’t help myself! Our new master bedroom is going to be similar to our bedroom now, but I wanted it to be a little bit more modern and mature, so I started with this beautiful modern bedding from Bloomingdales.

If you didn’t know – Joe and I are very much into white and grey. 🙂 They were the colors for our wedding, see here, and we pretty much haven’t changed since. I have wanted to update our bedding for quite some time, to mirror the beautiful monogrammed pillows we have, and I found THE most beautiful modern bedding from Sferra at Bloomingdales. As many of you know – our old bedding was somewhat shabby chic. I was obsessed with it for years. I think I bought 10+ of those same duvet covers over the past 5 years. But as with all things, my style evolved a bit, and I wanted our new bedroom to reflect that. This beautiful modern bedding from Bloomingdales was the PERFECT upgrade, and I love how it turned out.

The duvet cover is so soft. The sheets feel like satin on your skin. Our bed feels so much more luxurious. Joe often makes fun of me that if we didn’t have kids I would never leave our bed – and it’s pretty much true. My home, my room, and my bed are 100% my sanctuary – so if I was going to invest in a modern upgrade for our home – our bedroom was definitely the place to do it. If you’re anything like me, I know you will agree.

I love how much more mature our room looks now. I enjoy getting in bed even more than I did before. And now when we head to our new home in July or August, I know our bedding will match the aesthetic.However – I really think this beautiful modern bedding from Sferra at Bloomingdales would be perfect in any home.
