As many of you know – we have written about the Fresh line extensively. From the Creme Ancienne to the Black Tea Line – to their perfumes, the whole line is just incredible. It is thoughtfully made. Every ingredient is the best of the best.

The first time I tried the Fresh Beauty Black Tea line was when I was newly engaged to Joe. I was working long hours, I was wedding planning, and for the first time in my life I felt like I was seriously aging right before my eyes. I remember being devastated at the bags and wrinkles starting to form around my eyes. I was in my VERY early twenties. This wasn’t supposed to happen yet. No matter who you are – the first place to show real signs of aging is usually around your eyes. The skin around your eyes is seriously delicate and therefore it will wrinkle first. This is why I cannot stress how IMPORTANT it is to start preventative skincare EARLY!
Anyhow I went to Sephora to get makeup. I reasoned that makeup was the right way to “cover” what was going on on my face. Concealer would fix my dark circles and my wrinkles. Right?!?! WRONG! Thankfully on that trip to Sephora, it just so happened that the sales lady threw a bunch of samples in my bag and the Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate was one of them. Bless Fresh and BLESS Sephora. Since I already happened to be going through my quarter life crisis – I opened up the Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate sample that night and I dutifully used it for the next week. I was hooked.
The smell wasn’t overly perfume-y. If you are familiar with the Fresh line, you know that their products tend to be on the more herbaceous side, which I LOVED. I also loved the price. It was a moderately priced line and I liked that I could pick and choose from a bunch of different skincare concerns. Last but not least… it was also incredibly effective.

I remember when we had barely started our blog, and didn’t care too much about skincare Emily came to visit me at the first apartment Joe and I had ever lived together in and she was so excited for me to try this new moisturizer and eye cream she bought. It was the Fresh Black Tea. Let’s just say I was influenced because I ordered it the next day — I don’t even think I could really afford it at the time because I was still teaching!
And that was when we fell in love with the brand. We are so lucky we have gotten the chance to work with them a few times throughout our blogging career and meeting their team in New York was one of our best memories from Fashion Week last year! Not only do we both use Fresh on a regular basis – I caught Joe using my scrub last week, lol! But they make the best gift sets for the holidays!
