Wow – February was a wild month! Not only did I survive my first month at home with a baby, but I somehow navigated my way through my new role as a working mom. Because of our job, I didn’t get maternity leave. If we aren’t posting, we don’t make money. I was downloading photos in the hospital and got back to real work one day after getting home from the hospital. I was nervous about this transition but super proud of how it all went down. I managed to not feel overwhelmed, and still felt that I was being present for my baby which is what mattered the most. We had an amazing month, and I feel so grateful for how it all turned out! My new Garmin has been soooo helpful for my first month with a newborn. It keeps me accountable for my sleep – meaning it forces me to know when to “sleep when the baby sleeps” a rule I would probably ignore if not for my watch. Seeing my steps again makes me so happy. During my pregnancy, it would be a miracle if I got to 6,000 per day – so being back above 10k every day feels like a huge accomplishment. I also LOVE the new body battery feature.
