2020 Hostess Gift Guide

Even though most of us may not be hostessing in the traditional way this year, we still have people in our lives who LOVE to host. I (Emily) am one of those people. Even though I will just be hosting my immediate family this year, I would love any of the following gifts!

Rose Coffee Table Book:

I love giving thoughtful books to people for the holidays and this one is stunning. It is. a great neutral addition for any home! I also love this one – we have it on our coffee table.

Scented Laundry Detergent:

This is THE best detergent in the world! It smells SO amazing!

Cake Stand:

Every hostess needs the perfect dessert platter for the holidays. Even if we’re just entertaining for our families, you can still put out something beautiful.

Scented Candle Gift Set:

This is a stunning candle set. Featuring a trio of captivating scents, this curated candle collection is made of earthenware with a Mason’s signature matte glaze finish, which makes for unique decor or a thoughtful gift.

Velvet Pom Slippers:

These velvet pom slippers are stunning and I love that they come in three different colors. These specific slippers, are affordable, cozy and chic!

Faux Fur Ruched Throws

Especially with so many of us trying to stay at home as much as we can, these throws are equally beautiful and practical. I LOVE the ivory color for my living room and the champagne blush for my bedroom. These would make an amazing gift for your friend who loves to host!

Black Marble Wine Cooler:

This would look perfect in any kitchen. It is simple, chic, and classic. The simple column design or this wine cooler lets you chill wine at the table with elegant flair.

Eye Mask:

Self care is going to be a top priority for everyone this holiday season. There is no better gift than the gift of a restful night’s sleep! Made of 100% mulberry silk.

Hand Salve:

I am OBSESSED with this hand balm. Everyone I know has been complaining of how dry their hands are and this is the best solution I have found, personally. I love the honeyed grapefruit scent – it is incredible. It contains vitamin-rich goat milk and moisturizes without feeling greasy.

Linen White Ice Bucket:

I am getting this for Ashley for the holidays for sure. It is totally her vibes and she needs an ice bucket – so this one is PERFECT!

Taper Holders:

These candle holders make a very chic gift. I love the idea of gifting a set of three. They have a sculptural feel, and I love how unique they are. With their industrial beauty, these taper holders make a statement when displayed.

Pink Candle:

This is one of my favorite candles hands down. It smells amazing and it fills the whole house. Nudesse combines two Overose obsessions—roses and rain. Praised by many as the most decadent rose-fragranced candle, it is generously infused with rose essence which results in a powerful, unmatched diffusion lit or unlit.

Dishes With Lid

These candy dishes are beautiful and I love that you can put peppermints and festive candy-canes in them for the holiday season.

White Marble Serving Trays:

I was gifted these last year for the holidays and I use them literally every time we have a family dinner. I love using them for desserts and they are equally as gorgeous for charcuterie platters!

PMD Clean Body:

This is the ultimate tool for relaxation. You can use it for exfoliation, cleansing, or for a nice massage in the shower at the end of a long day.

Aesop Hand Soap:

This is an Ash and Em bestseller every year. It has notes of vetiver and bergamot, and leaves my hands feeling clean but also soft.  It smells fantastic and it has mini pieces of pumice in it. It feels like you are in the most luxurious spa.

Emily’s Favorite Chocolates:

These are one of my favorite gifts to give and to receive. I LOVE getting decadent chocolate truffles, no matter what the holiday. This mouthwatering box of flavored truffles is handcrafted by the chocolatiers at Charbonnel et Walker—makers of some of the most delicious treats that England has to offer since they were established in London in 1875.

Room Spray:

I was gifted this room spray last year and it immediately became one of my favorite gifts to give. It makes your home smell SO amazing. A bouquet of roses and blackcurrant leaves, diptyque Baies Room Spray is reminiscent of the brand’s candle with the same name, recast in an elegant, lasting spray.

Chic Salt And Pepper Holders:

Oddly enough, we get asked a lot about what our favorite salt and pepper shakers are. These are GORGEOUS!

Oh Holy Night Sign:

I love this sign. I have it in my kitchen this year, and every time I walk by it, it makes me smile. I love the constant reminder of Jesus’ birth.
