Shirt dresses are my thing – no matter what the season. I wore a couple of striped shirt dresses this summer as dresses and then again as bathing suit cover-ups – and now that summer is almost over – I feel like they’re all I wore!
But for fall – I especially love the plaid shirt dress.
I can’t believe I’m already talking about fall – but with September right around the corner, I just can’t help it. Fall is, 100%, without a doubt, my favorite season. The lattes, the pumpkins, the leaves, the football games… I get so excited just thinking about it. And then there’s the clothes. I am a chunky sweater and OTK boot kind of girl anyway… so fall really speaks my fashion language. 🙂 So now, let’s talk about the plaid shirt dress and why I love it so much…
First of all – I love that you can wear it with SO many different pairs of shoes: low booties, heels, OTK boots, whatever, the possibilities are endless. I have paired this one here with some burgundy lace-up pumps, and a matching burgundy hat. I love this look, and I know it is one that will be on repeat for me this fall.
Secondly, I love the ease of the plaid shirt dress. I love that it is comfortable, and it always looks amazing. Last fall we went to visit Joe’s family in Nebraska, and I brought five of them because I knew they wouldn’t wrinkle, and I could easily look pulled together at a minute’s notice.
Being a mom, I also love that the plaid shirt dress is a no fuss option. I don’t have to dry clean it… I can sit on the grass in it… really, it works for any occasion… and you can shop all my favorites below. XooX
