As many of you know, life has been crazy over here lately. Between my full time job, blogging, two children, marriage, and everything else… I barely have time to breathe most days.
Showering? Forget it.
Time for myself? Whattt???
Actually relaxing? I mean… What does that even feel like any more?
Anyone out there feel the same way lately?
I know this is something I need to work on. Badly. If you have any tips for how you slow down – PLEASE let me know! Anyhow, it seems that the “dog days of summer” or “lazy summer days” are a total joke in our house. I feel like ever since the nice weather started, things have only ramped up. That being said, my day to day outfits have to make sense. I need to be able to mix and match the pieces that I invest in seamlessly. If it isn’t easy, if it doesn’t fit perfectly, if it doesn’t work with different outfits — it’s out of my closet.
That being said, BLANK NYC has become a HUGE staple brand in my life. I am IN LOVE with their clothes, and if you follow me on snapchat and instagram, you’ve seen their pieces countless times. The jacket that you see in this post has quickly become my favorite piece of clothing. The color is amazing… it literally goes with everything, and even though it’s summer, this jacket is THE perfect layering piece. I’ve been wearing it – A LOT – lately over sundresses and the look is playful, yet sophisticated. I literally ALWAYS have it in my car. I’ve also been wearing it slung over my shoulders and that is really cute as well.
The jeans you see in this post are my favorite jeans, hands down. I’ve had them forever. But… real talk, I still haven’t lost all the baby weight, so the jeans you see in this post are actually a size bigger than I usually wear. You could say, jeans so nice, I bought them twice. 🙂
Then there’s the AMAZING tee shirt. I am always in need of good layering tees, and I love the tie detail in the front of this one. I also really love that it’s a little bit longer – I hate when my tee shirts are too short, and this one is the perfect length.
It is very rare that I find myself able to wear one single brand from head to toe, but as you can see BLANK NYC makes it easy. Sizing notes about this outfit. In the jacket, I am wearing a size small. My top is a size medium (I like the extra length), and my jeans are a size 26. In my opinion, all of BLANK NYC’s clothes fit extremely true to size – and I love that their sizing is uniform across the board.
It should come as no surprise that I do all my shopping for BLANK NYC at Zappos. I really do most of my shopping at Zappos if we’re being honest.
