A while back I shared that my husband and I were starting to do “date nights”.
And as much as it was a great idea, we’ve had a really hard time implementing it. Something always seems to come up – a sitter cancels, a kid gets sick, or one of our schedules doesn’t work. Take this week. On Monday, William came down with a 103.5 degree fever, he has to stay home from school, and we have to keep the kids as separate as possible. No date night happening this week! 🙁
Anyhow, we’ve promised each other that we are going to try to be better about it, and on our next date night, I think I’m going to wear the dress in the photos above. It’s something totally unlike me. I usually tend toward lighter colors, preppy styles, and girly details – and this dress is definitely more edgy and sexy than something I’d usually wear. But – it’s perfect for date night. I love the lace, the cut is so slimming, and at this price point… just $65… you can’t go wrong.
If you guys have any tips and tricks for how you make date night work – I’d love to know. I’m totally slacking in this department. XooX
