Last weekend, I headed to one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Francisco: The Mission. I’m not going to lie it took me some time to truly form an appreciation for The Mission district. I remember four years ago I got invited to a birthday party there and I had NO idea what to wear- I had never been to the area before. I was naive, confused and if I’m being completely honest: a brat. Now that I am older and more seasoned in the San Francisco lifestyle – the vibes of this eclectic neighborhood are perfect for me. The food is amazing (arguably the best in the city), the people are interesting, and you are always, and I mean always, bound to see something you didn’t expect.
I met one of my blogger girlfriends for coffee, a photo shoot, and then brunch. We met at Sightglass, which is an independently owned and just-hipster-enough coffee shop with an amazing space and delicious lattes. We then cruised the neighborhood enjoying all the sights and soaking up all the culture– even got some life lessons along the way from a local artist. The murals in the neighborhood are always changing and never get old. The colors are insane and each one definitely makes a bold statement about society- trying to analyze them is the fun part. We had thai brunch at Hawker Fare and were both obsessed. The food was different and tasteful and the decor was so bright and fun.
As we have mentioned before, one of my favorite parts about the weather getting cooler is being able to layer different pieces. This drapey jacket from BB Dakota is a perfect staple piece. It matches everything, it’s lightweight, and the nude color is perfect for anyone.
