As with most things – Ashley and I are totally and completely different when it comes to holiday dressing. I love to dress up, and she likes to be as cozy as possible. The best part about our friendship – is that even though we are so completely different – we love one another and always respect the choices the other one makes. Even when it comes to something as small as what we wear for the holidays! 🙂
When one of our favorite retailers, Evereve, asked us to style our ideal holiday outfits, we knew it would be such a fun experiment. As anticipated, I went with something a little more formal and Ashley went with something a little more comfy/casual. But true to form, I think this is exactly why we make such an amazing blogging team and why we have such a diverse readership. Ashley has her own amazing style, and I have mine. Some of our favorite messages from readers are when you let us know – “Hey I started following the blog for Ashley’s body positivity posts, but I’ve been loving Emily’s style” or vice versa. This post is a true testament to that.
For my holiday outfit from Evereve, I chose this amazing gold/green velvet top and paired it with THE most beautiful lace skirt. What I love about this outfit is that you can style both pieces in a million different ways. The velvet top looks just as great with jeans as it does with this skirt. And this skirt can be worn literally all year round with whatever top you like. As you know, I love items that are multipurpose – and both of these pieces are.
Ashley chose an amazing and super comfy sweater dress and paired it with our favorite OTK boots. The mulberry color looks SO stunning on her, and I totally want this one in black.
