I still remember the day that I bought my first designer bag. Strangely enough, it was on a cruise ship– in Alaska. They had duty free shops and I fell absolutely in love with a black Fendi Baguette bag. My life hasn’t been the same since, and to this day, my most cherished gifts have been handbags. To me, they are symbols of some kind of milestone. Finishing my masters program, college graduation, winning money playing blackjack, my first tax return, 21st birthday, etc.
Since the holidays are coming up, I wanted to highlight one of my most favorite bags- and also give options for bags at all price points that would make amazing gifts. I got this Phillip Lim Pashli last year, and I still love it. The color (Jade) is fantastic- it adds a pop of color to my usually all black wardrobe. If you are still stuck wondering what to buy for your mom, sister, girlfriend or even yourself; consider a handbag. Why I love them: they are always symbolic of something else, even if you are in leggings and a t-shirt, a nice bag immediately makes any outfit more chic, they can complete your outfit—the cherry on top so to speak, they express your personality, and I believe, you can tell a lot about a woman by the kind of bag she carries.
A little about this location: As you know, last August I moved from San Francisco to Pacifica. This was the view that I left behind. These photos were taken two blocks from my old house. This neighborhood means a lot to me and I really wanted to share this amazing view with all of you. I’m not going to lie- it’s been a really hard transition for me. To leave all of this behind was an extremely difficult decision to make. While I miss the city every single day, I am slowly learning to appreciate the suburbs and the beach too.
