So many people often say that the best part of my job is all of the free stuff that I get. And yes, that is a great job perk, but for me, sometimes it’s actually not. Especially when it comes to beauty stuff. Before you stop reading because that sounds so ridiculous and rude, hear me out. I have always had extremely sensitive skin. So, yes, I do receive lots of amazing products, sometimes trying them out can be a nightmare. I can’t tell you how many times I have broken out into month long rashes from trying out new skincare or beauty products. Thank god I discovered Tula.

When Tula first reached out to me to ask if I wanted to try their products, I said yes. So many of my friends and bloggers I look up to swear by it so I wanted to see what it was all about. It just so happens that at that same time, I was going through an INSANE rashy breakout from wedding makeup I had done a few weeks prior. Nothing would fix my face — I thought I was going to have to get a peel that’s how bad it was. When I was younger, I had horrible acne, which cause me to have really low self-esteem too. I had to go on Accutane my freshmen year of high school. It was such a dark place in my life. Not only was I trying to find myself and my friend group, but I also had this embarrassing skin problem that I was soooo self conscious about.
Because of my skin’s history, I have taken drastic measures as an adult to make sure that my skin stays clear. I wash my face every night. I never sleep in my makeup, not even for a nap. I wash my face immediately after working out. I am crazy about the brand of sunscreen I use. I don’t wear makeup unless I have to. And I always always always moisturize. That being said, you would think I had a skincare regimen that I loved, but I never really found a brand that 100% worked for my skin. I was always mixing and matching or just using gentle products that wouldn’t break me out, but also they weren’t HELPING my skin — they had no benefit: no antiaging, no help with sunspots or fine lines.
So, when I first tried Tula, I was amazed that I woke up with clearer skin than the day before. Not only did it not break me out, but it helped with my horrible rash and breakout. I didn’t want to get my hopes up just yet — so I kept using it for about a month or so. Guys, my skin has never looked better. The fact that I am posting so many photos with no makeup on should be evidence enough.
I was so excited to try their new Kefir Line. I tested out the cleansing oil and the pressed serum. I know that I am always complaining about being busy, so I won’t get into that. But these two products are perfect for girls like me who just don’t have 30 minutes to give to their nightly routine. Their cleansing oil is a makeup remover and cleansing oil in one. This silky oil, formulated with kefir, dissolves stubborn makeup, residue and pollutants while nourishing the skin. Skin is left clean and hydrated. And the pressed serum acts as a serum and a moisturizer in one. Kefir-infused all-in-one product moisturizes and nourishes. Unique solid texture transforms into a velvety serum as it melts into your skin.
Two products and you’re done. Game changer. My friends at Tula were kind enough to offer a code for you guys to try for yourselves. Use code “TWOPEAS” at checkout and also score free shipping off order of $30. You won’t regret it!!!
