As you all know, the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is going on right now. It is the perfect time to stock up on seasonal favorites that you can wear for the rest of the winter and for years to come as well. That being said, I always use this sale as the time to stock up on my absolute favorite wardrobe item – coats, jackets, and blazers.
The other night I was at dinner with a couple girlfriends and I asked them what their kryptonite was when it comes to shopping. One of my friends said for sure – without a doubt – shoes. I get it. You can wear the same size in shoes your whole life long, and if you take care of them, you can have them forever. Another friend said handbags – those definitely come in a close second for me. My other girlfriend said athleisure – she just can’t quit it. But for me – it is definitely coats. And coats on sale – like the ones in the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale – are my absolute favorite.
In my opinion coats make or break an outfit. You can throw the perfect jacket on top of the most boring outfit and boom – you look like Kate Middleton. You know what I mean? My favorite way to wear coats this time of year is to wear head to toe black – black jeans, black bodysuit – and then I just let the coat shine!
