Last week, my girlfriends and I headed out of the city and drove an hour north to the magical Meritage Resort and Spa. Kat from KatWalkSF planned the whole thing and it was nothing short of amazing. I had never been to the Meritage Resort before — but I will 100% be going back. We all fell completely in love!

We were there to experience their very first week of Wellness Wednesday. To kick things off, we did a private cooking demonstration with Chef Ryan Rupp. He made us homemade acai bowls made with nitrogen — it was so cool! And then we had charred avocado and cured salmon with watermelon. It was so much fun watching him make everything — and it tasted amazing too!
That night we had dinner at Siena, one of the restaurants on property. We shared some amazing wine and had an incredible meal. We had the pork belly, chili shrimp, and short ribs. Definitely, don’t skip the beignets — SOOOO worth it!
The next day we woke up early for Wellness Wednesday and did some yoga in the vineyard. It was followed by more food by Chef Ryan along with some amazing fresh juices, and kombucha. The views were amazing, and it felt so good to be working out in the sun! After Wellness Wednesday, we rushed down to the pool to soak up some rays before our spa treatments! The spa and the wine cave is right where I shot these photos. And the best part is? You can go straight from the spa to wine taste IN YOUR ROBE. I repeat: you can drink wine in your robe. If that’s not enough to convince you to book your wine country trip stat, then I don’t know what is!
