Last week, my girls and I hit the road and headed for wine country. It was such a necessary escape, as we are all in the same industry and had been crazy busy with cyber week and holiday shoots! We wanted a little getaway but didn’t want to go too far, as we wanted the trip to be stress-free. Yountville is a short hour drive away from San Francisco, and Hotel Yountville was kind enough to host us for the night. I’m wishing I could go back there right now — instead, I am trying to finish up all my Christmas shopping. If you’re a procrastinator like me, then check out our gift guides here.

My Stay at Hotel Yountville:
We pulled up to their gorgeous lobby area, which was all decked out for the holidays! They had wreaths and trees, and twinkly lights everywhere! It was love at first sight.
We checked into our gorgeous rooms and unpacked all of our stuff. And if you have never seen how much a blogger packs, well, let’s just say it’s a lot. The room had a WALK IN CLOSET. I repeat a walk-in closet. All of our dreams were coming true. The rooms were super spacious and the bathrooms were insanely gorgeous.
We shot some looks and then decided to cuddle up by the fire and enjoy some wine and snacks. After all, we were in wine country! It felt so good to just put my phone down and relax for a bit. I think I didn’t look at my phone for three whole hours! Which was a record for me!
After some much-needed girl time, it was almost dinner time! We were headed to Hotel Yountville’s sister property, Bardessono, to dine at their restaurant, Lucy. The hotel offers a free shuttle in between the two properties which was such a nice touch. It was great to not have to worry about calling an Uber, or having to drive. We got to enjoy dinner that much more! We had an amazing meal (I highly recommend the ahi appetizer and the truffled mushrooms — YUM!
The next day, we actually got to sleep in which was a miracle! I felt so relaxed and rested and that wasn’t even the best part….
Hotel Yountville sure knows how to send people off, because our stay ended with incredible massages at their spa. It’s located right by this pool area — and it was gorgeous. They had little carrot cookies which were so cute! Our treatments were fabulous and it was the perfect end to our trip! If you’re headed to wine country, I highly recommend Hotel Yountville – I will definitely be back!
