Packing For Palm Springs - and Alt Oasis

As many of you know – Ashley and I are headed to Palm Springs tomorrow for Alt Summit. Alt Summit is one of the biggest blogging/creative conferences of the whole year, and we are SO excited for all that next week holds. That being said – I had to share what I am packing for Palm Springs!

Alt Summit is always held in an amazing location, and this year is no exception. We are so excited to be heading to the desert – especially with the rain that San Fran has been experiencing and the snow that we just got here in Reno. The conference is at a variety of Palm Springs hotels, The Parker, The Ace, The Riviera, and the Saguaro. Most of the conference attendees are staying at one of those hotels, but my Aunt and Uncle have a gorgeous home in Palm Desert – so we are going to commute back and forth from Palm Desert to Palm Springs.

Ashley and I very rarely get time to idea generate and brainstorm with no one else around, so we thought that staying at my Aunt’s home – which is like a serene, beautiful, desert oasis – would be SO perfect. This way we can have a home base, we can shoot blog content at the house, and we can get away from the hustle and bustle of the conference if we need to. I am an ISFJ – I recharge by being alone – so this arrangement was perfect for me. Randomly – do you know what your personality type is??? I love this stuff. Take the test and DM me your answer!

KK back to Alt… the conference runs from the 24th to the 29th. We are only staying until Wednesday night, but we are SO excited to experience all that we can while we are there, and we are SO excited to take you along.I have already signed up for SO many amazing classroom sessions and have connected with so many amazing people via the conference app, now I just can’t wait to get there! What’s more… Palm Springs is one of my favorite places. I LOVE the landscape and architecture of the desert – so we will be sure to show you all of that as well.

Alt is a little bit different in that it isn’t a fashion blogging conference. It is really a conference for creatives. It is a place to network, to meet new people, to connect with brands, to meet business coaches, to learn all about industry trends – and I love that. We usually go to conferences that are SUPER fashion centric, but we are so much more than just a fashion blog. I think that doing well rounded continuing education is important – no matter what industry you are in – and Alt is perfect for that.

Now to the packing. Because Alt isn’t totally fashion-centric, we can wear comfortable clothes to learn in – that still speak to who we are. You know Ashley and I… we’re always going to bring some fun outfits 🙂 A couple of our favorite brands… Endless Rose, English Factory and Evereve sent us a ton of amazing outfits for this trip. So watch out for those! LSpace and Tiare Hawaii covered our swim for the trip – and then we packed our tried and true favorites as well. I have linked most everything I am packing for Palm Springs below – and we will be linking all our outfits throughout the trip as well. I have some surprises packed – don’t worry!
