I was lucky enough to attend the Carolina Herrera 2016 Preview last night. It was honestly one of the most amazing events I have ever been to. Not only did they serve hot dogs & champagne, but I made some really amazing new friends.
The event was put on by InStyle Magazine and Raphael House, which is an amazing organization here in San Francisco. They help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity. They have been helping the homeless since 1971– donate here if you want to get involved! We love what they stand for and we are already planning on attending their gala next year. We will be sure to keep you posted on details. Carolina Herrera donated 15% of the proceeds from any purchases made last night to the charity, which I thought was such a sweet gesture. The hosts of the party were from Raphael House and were all dressed in Carolina Herrera– they looked fabulous and were SO kind. I really loved meeting and mingling with such strong and empowering women.
Before the presentation started we got to wander around the store while sipping bubbly and enjoying some amazing snacks. The store itself is SO gorgeous. It’s three stories full of beautiful things, and I loved all of the fashion books as accents throughout the store. It has been open for two years and surprisingly, it was my first time stopping in. If you live in San Francisco, don’t make the same mistake — go there as soon as possible. I was bummed that Carolina herself wasn’t there, but her presence was definitely felt. Her aesthetic was everywhere, from the minimalist decor and the crisp white shirts to the bold floral prints and the most amazing skirts in the world.
The presentation was hosted by Dana Avidan Cohn, one of the editors of InStyle. She was so chic and inspiring. Her knowledge of the collection and fashion, in general, was amazing. All of the looks were absolutely gorgeous. There were culottes, crop tops, skirts, florals, amazing gowns, and my favorite look was a gorgeous bright yellow gown with a cape in the back! It was great to see some of our favorite trends in action and it definitely got me in the mood for summer and bright colors.
I live snapped the entire thing, but, in case you don’t follow me on Snapchat (@ashleyzeal), see the full collection here.
