Hello Everyone!

We have so many new faces here! That being said, we wanted to have a post where you can get to know us and our story a little bit better! First and foremost, I (Emily) am the short haired blonde one – and Ashley is the long haired brunette!

All About Ash & Em:

From Ash:

In the early 2000s, Emily moved from Connecticut to Nevada. We met in the very classroom you see in the photo below. I was a sophomore, and Emily was a freshman. She walked into my microbiology class and everyone was fascinated by the new pretty girl. She was very mature for her age, and her East Coast vibe was something us Reno folk had never seen before. When Emily pulled out her Duwop Lip Venom — who remembers this OG lip plumper– and I had the exact same one in my bag, I knew we would be friends forever. This is where it all began.  Although we couldn’t be more different – we had so many core beliefs that were the same. Obviously, our love of beauty and fashion were what bonded us at first, but today it goes so much deeper than that.

From Em:

Ashley and I became close friends very quickly in high school. We went through some of life’s most dramatic events together. At least they seemed like it at the time. I can’t tell you how many breakups and makeups we went through together. We made lots of mistakes and a lifetime of memories.

I was 1-2 years ahead of my grade in almost all my classes, so when Ashley and most of my closest friends graduated, I couldn’t wait to head to college too. Ashley had decided on Santa Clara, and after visiting her there a couple of times during my senior year, I knew it was where I wanted to go to college too. I got accepted early, and soon enough we were together again. College together was SO much fun, and just a few years after college graduation, we started the blog. We have been there for every major milestone in one another’s lives. We talk every day, we were in each other’s weddings, and we are now navigating motherhood together.

So here we are today. No matter where life took us, we were always a constant in each other’s lives and we are so blessed to be able to work together every single day now. Because of how far back we go, the process is totally seamless and we can usually predict each other’s moves and thoughts before they even happen. We have 17 years of friendship behind us, and we are so excited to share the future with you!

All About Emily:

I grew up in Connecticut and lived there until I was 14. We moved to Nevada for a family business, I went to high school here and absolutely fell in love with Reno. I went to college in California, graduated with a degree in finance and economics, and moved back to Reno for a bond trading internship after college graduation. That internship turned into a 10 year career in corporate bond trading for a proprietary trading company where I specialized in trading floating rate debt. While working in finance, I met my husband, got married, had three kids, and started Two Peas in a Prada with Ashley. I left bond trading in early 2019 and now I blog full time. My husband is Joe, and we live in Reno with our three children, William, David and Caroline, and we have a golden retriever named Charlie. My husband is a residential realtor and we love fixing up houses!

Classic white button downs, camel anything, chunky gold jewelry, cable knit sweaters, bows, feminine details.

Hydrangeas. Early mornings. Walks with my golden retriever – Charlie. My husband, Joe and our kiddos, William, David and Caroline.

French pressed coffee. Bubbly Water. Diet Coke. I stopped drinking in January!

Cerulean or orange – but when it comes to home décor – all white everything. Also SO into beige and burnt Sienna everything RN.
