Emily’s Amazon Favorites May

The slip that broke the internet this month (I’m wearing it in the photo)…. plus books about chic mice, summertime reading for your little ones, and a SUPER hydrating lotion mixture for summer skin… were just a few of my favorite Amazon purchases from May!

1.) Slip

I don’t know why, but it feels like all of this dresses I have bought lately need an extra slip underneath. This one is AMAZING and so affordable. I literally put it under EVERYTHING!  It’s available in black, grey, light pink, and white and also comes in both a longer and shorter length.

2.) Claris Books

This book has been on heavy rotation at Caroline’s bedtime lately. Claris: The Chicest Mouse in Paris is equal parts adorable, inspiring, and fun to look at with its amazing drawings by fashion illustrator, Megan Hess. Be warned, though: It’ll make you want to go to Paris really bad!

3.) Lily Padz

One of the hardest parts of nursing is that you can’t wear bras with underwire. That being said, it’s impossible to find a strapless bra. These substitute for a strapless bra and are SO amazing! They provide constant pressure when they’re in place to help you avoid any embarrassing and uncomfortable leakage. When these are applied, you can go braless, wear strapless tops, and even go swimming!

4.) Leveled Reading Books For Kids

Summertime is happening now, which means there’s ample time to get your little ones reading every chance they get. I ordered this Little Readers pack that comes with 16 books and is perfect for ages K-2, so William, David and Caroline are soaking these  up! Each book includes easy-to-read text, strong picture cues, and 1-5 lines of text per page to encourage their confidence. I can’t suggest it enough if your babies are the right age!

5.) Teether

This mushroom shaped paci has a skin-like texture and has been so helpful in terms of taking a small break from being a human pacifier for baby Andrew! He really loves this pacifier, and we’ve noticed it’s also helping him to not suck on his fingers, which is something we desperately want to avoid. It comes in 7 fun colors, too, which are sure to catch your little one’s attention.

6.) Summer Hat

If you’re looking for a stylish and simple summer hat, I am loving this one by RVCA that I ordered off Amazon last month. I love the wide brim to protect my face from the sun, and the braided trim is a cute touch, too. It’s perfect to wear by the pool or to the beach and looks just as good with a casual summer outfit!

7.) Gloves in a Bottle

William’s hands were getting super dehydrated from all the hand sanitizer this year and this stuff was a true game changer. If you have intensely dehydrated hands from washing them frequently, sun damage, or a skin condition like psoriasis or eczema, this stuff is the ultimate hydration in a bottle. Truly. It’s intense hand lotion that absolutely works, and you can use it all over your body, too, if need be. It has 4.5 stars and over 3,700 reviews for a reason!

8.) Visor

I love a good visor. If that makes me a stereotypical Reno housewife, so be it! Sometimes I don’t want to wear a full hat outside or by the pool, but still need to shield my face from harsh UV rays and a visor is the perfect and easiest option for that. Love this Nike one so much!

9.) Mix Aveeno with Oil Gel

I’m always looking for the best way to combat my own eczema and, lately, I’ve found that combining Aveeno’s Eczema Therapy Itch Relief Balm with Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel does wonders. Hat tip to Hayet Rida for this incredible combo!

10.) Baby Girl Swimsuit

I mean, how could I not get this for precious Caroline?! Gingham and ruffles? It’s so stinking cute on her, and also comes in so many other adorable prints and patterns. I’m sure I’ll end up getting her a few more this summer!
