Fall Florals and… Burger Club?

My name is Ashley, and I’m in a burger club.

As Carrie Bradshaw said, “it’s hard to find someone who will love you no matter what, I was lucky enough to find four of them.” Okay fine, she said three but in this case, it’s four. Four of my friends and I met for dinner one night and decided to make it a monthly thing- a club, if you will. Since we went out for burgers that night- Burger Club was born. When I tell people I am headed to a burger club meeting their face always shows a look of shock or surprise. “What is burger club?” They ask me in a condescending tone. First of all, I don’t know why anyone would judge a burger club anyways- unless they’re jealous, hate having fun, or vegetarian. As complex as I may seem, I am really a simple girl. As much as I love going out for crazy fancy dinners at the trendiest restaurants, I am also just as happy with a really good burger, so much so- that my first stop in NYC is Kanye’s favorite restaurant and the “chicest” burger. I can’t wait to report my experience back to you guys!

For the record, Burger Club is not just a burger club. We don’t discriminate- while our first meal at Causwells was amazing (top 5 burgers in SF, for sure), we like to explore our options. We have also had a “dip off,”no-corkage-fee dinners at Hillstone, classy meetings at Presidio Social Club, and most recently- opening weekend at The Dorian- or as we call it, The DeLorean. The space was gorgeous, the drinks were unreal and the food was top-notch. If you are in the Bay Area, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a million times better than its predecessor, Circa (#thanksforthememories).

Why is this different than any other group of friends? Well, to start, most of us have known each other for ELEVEN years. How is it possible we are that old? The best part about burger club is the unconditional love and support. Our only rule is “no judgment.” At burger club, our meetings are a safe space. We talk about everything. The good, the bad, and more often than not, the ridiculous.

While Burger Club is usually the place I would go hungover in leggings and no makeup (because they love me no matter what), sometimes our meetings call for dressing up. For our most recent get-together, I wore this fabulous long sleeve romper.  I’m a firm believer in the fall floral print- they are so romantic and I love the deeper, more dramatic colors. This particular romper sold out in minutes after Damsel in Dior wore it in an Instagram post, but here is a dress in the same gray print! Shop my favorite fall florals below!
