Layering for summer may sound like a strange concept, but bear with me. If you live anywhere near the coast like I do, you know it gets pretty chilly at night. And if you’re in the Bay Area, then you know it’s cold all day every day. The June Gloom is real, people!

This look is my every day San Francisco Summer uniform. I like to keep it casual — and I am obsessed with this distressed tee! It’s only $32 and I have been reaching for it so much recently. It also comes in black or white if grey isn’t your thing.
You guys know from this post that I have been loving my Good American jeans and these ones are super flattering — especially on the ankle. I know that might sound weird. I love the released hem and the cropped length. They make your legs look crazy long when you pair them with heels. But even with sneakers, they are still amaze! I posted these sneakers a while back, and they’re finally on sale. Yay!
When it comes to layering, I go for whatever is easy. When you don’t really get to experience the summer like us San Franciscans, I still want to feel summery. I picked out this lilac cardigan for that exact reason! The color is super summery, and it’s not too heavy to wear in June or July.

I’m always cold so I always have a sweater or cardigan in my purse — even in the middle of summer! Dusters like the one you’re wearing are my favorite!
