Fringe Benefits

Fringe is predicted to be a HUGE trend at NYFW this year. Emily was ahead of the game when she bought me this bag for my birthday. I will be doing a post featuring the bag later in the month! I decided to hop on the fringe train and order this amazing Bobi dress for a day trip to wine country.

The weekend before Labor Day I headed up to Sonoma with two of my closest girlfriends, Brannan and Raeanna. Brannan is a member at Scribe winery and has been inviting us up there forever- but our busy schedules never aligned. Well, finally we all had a free day so we hopped in her cute Mini Cooper and headed across the Golden Gate Bridge. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day -it was hot and sunny and so this lightweight fringe dress was a no-brainer outfit option. On the way up we stopped at Marin County Mart to get coffee and pastries at Rustic Bakery. I had the cinnamon puff & it was to die for.

We got to Scribe and I immediately fell in love. To get up to the winery you drive through this gorgeous row of palm tress and pass right by a field filled with sunflowers. They have an option called “Blanket and a Bottle” where you buy a bottle of wine and they give you a blanket to sit on the hill overlooking the vineyard. We went with the Reisling first and they brought it with cheese, almonds and some fruit on the cutest tray. We sat there for hours (and another bottle, Pinot Noir) just enjoying the view, the vibes and some much needed girl talk. If you can’t tell by the huge smile in all of these photos, there is nothing I love more than wine country and my besties.

Now about the outfit… I am so happy I went with this fringe Bobi dress. If you remember this post, you know I just love the brand. The designer, Kara Lusardi, is the sweetest person and her designs are amazing and affordable. The fringe was on trend, and the fabric oh-so-comfortable. It even looked good after the drive to Sonoma. The dress also comes in a lemon-lime color and they are both under $50! I am already planning on wearing this dress in the fall with a blanket scarf, leather jacket and my Rag & Bone booties. San Francisco, please get cold already!
