I spent Labor Day Weekend at one of my favorite places on the planet: Bullard’s Bar Resevoir. My family has been houseboating at that lake for over fifteen years. I have SO many memories there. I spent my eighteenth birthday there with ten of my best friends, had plenty of girls weekends, had many game nights with my sister and now am enjoying making new memories up there with Joe. I can’t explain how much I love this lake. There are no houses there- just day campers and houseboaters- so it’s very calm and quiet. It’s the best place to read books, lay in the sun and, my dad’s favorite part of the day: margarita hour.
We got so lucky with the weather last weekend. It wasn’t too hot and the evenings were just chilly enough. This was a great time to bust out what I call my “transformation wardrobe.” You know, the items in your closet that are perfect for when Summer transitions into fall, fall into winter etc. This is absolutely my favorite time of year. I love the earlier sunsets, scarves, pumpkin everything (so basic, I know), wearing only boots, layered looks, and most importantly: football.
We both are huge fans of the Rails brand. Their shirts are such high quality and are absolutely perfect for transitioning into colder weather. I sometimes even wear mine open as a light jacket, OR you can pull an Emily and wear one as a shirt belt. No matter how you wear your Rails, you won’t regret it– shop our favorites below!
