Thank you so much to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are our own.
Baby could come ANY day now – how crazy is that? I am so ready to be home with him in my cozies and getting all of the cuddles I can. We are both homebodies through and through – and Emily has so graciously agreed to work with me from home or offered for me to bring the baby over to her house to work for a few months until we get into a good routine! I feel so lucky to have such an understanding business partner, and also know that I will be so grateful for her help and feel a million times less anxious knowing she’s around because she just gets it. She says she just can’t wait to have another baby around again!!!

New Loungewear:
Because of our new working arrangement – we needed the best of the best new loungewear to get us through. Where else would we go? Check out all of these amazing new pieces from our favorite, Nordstrom! Nordstrom is our go-to for everything whether it’s a trip to wine country, maternity clothes, workout outfits or post-partum lounge – they really do have it all. We love that we can always mix the hottest trends with closet staples no matter what.
Since Em has done this three times – she gave me some pretty good tips for things to look out for right after having a baby.
It will feel good to be put together. Sometimes the best days were when she was able to just shower, put on a little makeup and wear clothes that matched – enter the BP Cozy Lounge set. We have this set in so many colors now — we wrote about it during the Anniversary Sale and in THIS post. The new colors and prints are too cute to handle and it is SO soft – perfect for Valentine’s Day weekend or snuggling a new baby. It comes in regular and plus!
Softer is Better. Think about it – you have just spent 9 months feeling like everything was too tight and uncomfortable, your skin was itchy and swollen, and now it’s time to take care of yourself. These new Alo Lounge leggings feel nothing like workout leggings. They are way more buttery than spandex-like if that makes sense and they feel almost weightless on, but the high waist does suck you in just enough – which is exactly what you want postpartum! These come in seven colors.
Nursing Friendly. This may sound harsh, but whenever I used to think of nursing-friendly clothes – I automatically thought frumpy. But what the hell do I know — I am a first-time mom and know nothing. My goal is to be nursing friendly, but still cute. I am thinking nursing tanks underneath cozy cardigans. Keep you posted on how this works out!
Stay True to Yourself. This might sound silly and very much common sense, but you just went through probably the biggest change of all time. I am the type of person who can easily get into a rut – especially with change. So I can see myself, not putting on makeup, not brushing my hair, not changing out of pajamas, and just never leaving home. I thought that if I prepared myself with items from “my old life” – I would still hold on to that person I always was. I know this sounds so dramatic, but that is one of my biggest fears about being a mom, so I am looking for ways to balance the new and old me, without completely forgetting the person I was before. So for me, this means, still rocking neon and tie-dye (obsessed with THIS shirt), still wearing my sneakers everywhere.
