When Emily and I were in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, we did what every basic bitch does, and that’s a have photo shoot at “the pink wall.”
We had so much fun shooting along Melrose! We stopped at a couple different locations and then treated ourselves with coffee & pastries (such a rebel, right?) at Alfred. For those of you who aren’t familiar, this pink wall is on one side of the Paul Smith store. Since the backdrop was so bright, it made even this incredibly neutral outfit pop. I have been wearing this split side cardigan NONSTOP. It has been my travel go-to. It is so easy to just throw on over shorts, jeans or leggings. And you can’t beat the price.
You all know how much Emily and I love fashion. But I’m not sure you know the extent. Our conversations during Fashion Week go a little something like this: “Oh my god, are you watching the Givenchy live stream?” “Can you believe Blake Lively refused to uncross her legs at Michael Kors?” “You saw Moschino right? It was literally lit. Jeremy Scott is a god.” This has been going on for years and years now. We are so lucky that we can now share our crazy with the world.
One of the shows that really blew me away in February was the Moschino show. You can see every look here. It was everything I love about fashion: edgy, risky & bold. There was smoke, cigarettes, matches, burned dresses– I was uh-bsessed. I mean, I could literally talk about this for hours, so I need to stop myself. But, long story short, I was so moved by this show– I knew I needed something to remember it by. That is where this “Fashion Kills” phone case comes in. It is by far my favorite purchase of 2016. I get compliments (or interesting comments) on it wherever I go. I am all about the unexpected, so to me, this was worth every penny.
Update: I first wrote about these jean shorts here, and am still loving them!
