Products I’m Loving Right Now

Reno blogger, Ashley Zeal from Two Peas in a Prada shares Products I'm Loving. She is sharing a list of items she is obsessed with right now.

I just wanted to check in with everyone and share some products I’m loving right now – the ones that have made me feel somewhat human again. These past few weeks have been nothing short of amazing, but I am definitely sleep deprived and not all the way myself yet! There are so many things that allow me to feel small victories that I think everyone can benefit from (talking to you, CC Cream). These are all the non-baby things I’ve been using the most since we came home from the hospital!

Products I’m Loving

Glycolic Acid Peel Pads

These brand new peel pads came in and changed all of our lives last month! They became a top seller in just one day and we are all freaking obsessed. Read about why they are better than all the competitors HERE. My skin has not been the most premium since Joe was born – lack of sleep, and just putting him before me has definitely taken its toll. And until I am done nursing, I need all the help I can get before I can do Botox again – these are saving me!

Stretch Mark Care:

When I first started getting stretch marks, I totally freaked out. I DMed Jamie O’Banion –  our friend, mentor and founder of BeautyBio (aka the GloPro) and asked her what I could use. She graciously sent me the body attachment, body oil, and the sculptor lotion. I put on my Mederma in the morning and I use this every night when I get out of the bath! Even if it doesn’t help the stretch marks, I know that the skin on my tummy is staying extra hydrated! I was shocked that my stretch marks started to fade before I even gave birth and so I am keeping up with my same routine.

Garmin:

This might sound crazy – but I like knowing how much sleep I am actually getting. It might be stressing me out more, but it’s important to me that I am getting some rest. It reminds me to sleep when the baby sleeps instead of working or cleaning up. And it empowers me to ask for help if I really need it. Kind of like how Emily mentioned that looking at your budget and financials is like ripping the bandaid off – well this is the same. I am also DYING to get cleared for workouts but I feel reassured that I am moving somewhat just running around caring for a newborn and taking small walks when I can.

CC Cream:

My holy grail always, but I have more appreciation for it now more than ever. I love how quickly this can be applied, and what a drastic change it can make while looking natural and benefitting your skin! I can go from looking dead to alive in just a few minutes, and it doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin while I’m just cuddling baby at home.

Massager:

Carrying and feeding a baby is soooo hard on your neck and shoulders. This was something that I was not expecting. I have had and loved this forever, but I am using it now more than I ever have. The heat also helps with sore boobs too, since everything is connected through the shoulders!

Ember Mug:

I never thought I would be that person whose coffee got cold, but here we are. So glad I already had this!

Robe, Slippers:

AKA my uniform. My doula gave me such a good tip for having visitors: if you are wearing a robe when they come over, they won’t stay long. Done and done.

Heating Pad:

I love using this for my sore back from carrying baby, and also on my shoulders and chest for breastfeeding!

Bed Pillow:

Emily told me to order this immediately and she wasn’t wrong. Our rocking chair has been on backorder and so I have been feeding in bed / on the couch. I will 10000% continue to use this for work or reading after I am done breastfeeding. It gives you amazing support. I went with the XL size.

Yeti Tumbler

They warned me that the thirst would be real – but I didn’t understand how much water I would actually need. I thought I was drinking a lot during my pregnancy but this is a whole new level. This is the same one I brought to the hospital, and always keep this filled and next to me before I feed baby.

Dry Shampoo

Showers are few and far between – which is fine, because I am used to not washing my hair too often anyways. But between the night sweats, and the spit up, I am all kinds of stinky. I have accepted my new normal and just leaned into my favorite dry shampoo and trying to make myself look as clean as possible when people come over. Fake it til you make it, right?

Aesop Hand Soap:

If you’re going to bully your visitors into washing their hands 10x before they touch the baby, you might as well give them the best of the best, LOL! But seriously – it’s the best!!!

Billie Razor

As you all know – we LOVE the Billie razor and we are so happy you are all loving yours too!
