I can’t believe summer is already over– it went by in a flash. I have already been back to work for three weeks and am really struggling getting back into the groove of things. I miss sleeping in, working out at noon, early morning hikes with friends, lunch dates and spending my afternoons on the couch reading books & watching Bravo.
Although the summer breezed right by, it was incredible. I met William for the first time, had some amazing visitors, watched three of my friends get married, took two trips to Tahoe, enjoyed countless date nights, celebrated our one-year blogiversary, went to wine country, and spent A LOT of time with my friends.
I consider Labor Day the last weekend of summer– even though San Francisco summer is just beginning. So to celebrate the end of summer, I am headed up to the houseboat with Joe and my parents this weekend to soak up every last bit of sun that I can get.
If I had to sum up my summer with one outfit, it would definitely be a romper. I wore them non-stop and am not going to quit (just bought an amazing long-sleeve one from Old Navy, so be on the lookout for that post)! This Madewell romper worked for everything this summer. I wore it to a bachelorette party, a celebration of life, and to a 4th of July party. It really is the most versatile piece. I especially love the open draping in the back.
