OK… I know, I know, there are 11 gifts on this list… but 10 just sounded better.
Anyhow, I’ve gotten a lot of questions over the past couple of days about Mother’s Day gifts. Ranging from: what I want… to what I’m gifting… to what I think the best gifts are. Really, to me, the best gift of all is getting to spend quality time with my family… but…. if you insist…
I think the best Mother’s Day gifts (other than the homemade variety) are “little luxuries”. They’re items we love, but we hardly ever think to splurge on them for ourselves. Moms are used to putting other people first, so getting her something that is solely for her enjoyment – something that puts her first – is always a great idea. That being said, the items below are some of my favorite “little luxuries”.
My favorite things… to give and to receive:
1.) Tassel Earrings – I love these earrings because they’re fun, they’re different, and they’re absolutely perfect for summer. Really you can’t go wrong with anything from this company. Their bangles are amazing as well.
2.) “Mama” Necklace – This one needs no explanation – anything Jennifer Meyer is automatically on my list.
3.) Lip Balm – This is one of my favorite beauty products of all time. But, don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a splurge. That being said, I’ve had mine for two years (it lasts forever) and I’m still in love with it.
4.) Striped Dress – This dress is perfect. It’s perfect for brunch, perfect for errands, perfect for home, perfect for vacation. What mom doesn’t want the perfect everyday dress?
5.) Woven Flats – We’re featuring this company tomorrow – get excited!!! But these flats are incredible. I wore mine ALL over Italy – they are SO comfortable.
6.) Tote Bag – As you know, we love FEED here at Two Peas in a Prada, and these tote bags are amazing. Not to mention they contribute to ending world hunger.
7.) Specialty Bouquet Delivery – I discovered this company over two years ago when Ashley was having surgery and I wanted to send her something beautiful to wish her well. At the time they were just delivering in San Francisco, but over the past two years they have expanded in a HUGE way. Thank goodness. I send their bouquets whenever I want to say “Thank you!” or “I’m thinking of you!” – their ordering system is SO easy, and their bouquets are stunning. I also really love that they send you a text when your bouquet is on it’s way and once it is delivered as well.
8.)Eat This – Mother’s Day Gift Set – See yesterday’s post… This gift set is the ultimate “little luxury”.
9.) Candle – This is my favorite candle in the world. I recieved the grapefruit scented one in a gift basket earlier this year, and I have been buying it in bulk ever since. I am a woman obsessed. You will be too – everyone I gift it to can’t seem to get enough.
10.) Floral Robe – These robes are gorgeous, they’re affordable, and they’re sure to make any mom on your list feel like a queen.
11.) Soap & Lotion set – I first discovered this hand soap at my Aunt Tracey’s house… and it. is. ridiculous. In a really, really good way. It smells like you’re at the most incredible spa, and it has little pieces of pumice in it to exfoliate your hands as you wash.
