I cannot believe we are halfway there! Time seems to be flying by this time around! It’s been a while since I’ve given any kind of update so I wanted to answer the most asked questions in my 20 Week Pregnancy Update. I will be sharing the products I’ve been loving later on next week!
20 Week Pregnancy Update
Boy or girl?
This was BY FAR the most asked question LOL. We finally announced! Baby number two is a GIRL! We were SHOCKED and soooooo excited.
I’m sure things have changed since Baby Joe was born, but I wrote a whole post on that here. We will probably skip the wipe and bottle warmer this next time around. These onesies are a necessity (worth the price I promise), baby shusher, my favorite burp cloths, this baby carrier was my favorite, and we’re thinking of getting this bouncer for the next baby.
Favorite pregnancy underwear?
The only ones I wear are the over the bump from Amazon! They are not sexy at all, but I love them.
When did you start to feel baby?
Just recently! Everyone is so different. I didn’t feel baby Joe until way later. You feel it earlier and earlier with each pregnancy from what I hear! My doc says normally week 28 is when you start counting kicks.
Where do you get your pregnancy athleisure?
My favorite maternity leggings are these Zella ones, LIVING in the Beyond Yoga bike shorts and joggers, and most of my tops are from Old Navy!
Are you planning to do two cribs?
Yes! Baby Joe’s crib converts to a toddler bed, so he will be in it for a while! We ordered this one for the next baby! It felt so early to be ordering, but the way everything is delayed it just felt safer.
Favorite pregnancy tracker app?
What to Expect, Baby Centr and The Bump!
Dealing with emotional stuff?
I’m assuming you don’t mean did I cry last week when my husband told me we can’t have tuna melts for dinner, lol. Hormones are a wild thing! In all seriousness though, things got a little crazy there at the beginning – so I got back on my Lexapro which helped a lot. The hardest thing for me this time around is just counting down the days I have left with just me and Baby Joe. I felt so crazy at first, but in talking to other moms I know that this is super normal. It’s hard to imagine loving another human as much as you love your first, but I know this will all change the second they are born!
What do you need for the hospital bag?
I am going to pack SO DIFFERENTLY this time. Like, I didn’t use anything the last time. Here’s what you really need: blanket, pillow, robe, toiletries, going home outfit for everyone, snacks, nursing pillow & cell phone charger. That’s it. LOL that I packed an oil diffuser, firestick & speaker.
My last one was totally fine – the second one coming up at the next appt!
Is this pregnancy different than Baby Joe’s?
SO MUCH DIFFERENT. I have a lot more energy and fewer symptoms (so far; fingers crossed). I don’t know if it’s because I know I can’t just lay in bed, or because I’m so busy chasing him around I don’t really notice any of my usual symptoms. I am also much more active even though I got so big so fast. I have been weight training 2x a week with my trainer and walking 3-4 days too!
Did you use anything to increase milk supply?
I was always a “just enougher” and under producer at the end so I did ALL the things. Lots of water and Body Armor drinks, power pumping, La Vie Massager, Legendairy Milk Supplements, Mrs. Patel’s Tea, and Milk Drunk Protein Powder,
