Luckily, I have a gaggle of resources and I definitely used all of their tips and tricks when compiling this list. A lot of them said their biggest mistake was registering for “pretty” things vs. functional things. I consulted our Facebook group, my favorite bloggers, and all of my mama friends to come up with the perfect registry. There are so many teethers out there, but this one kept coming up on everyone’s list. Before any of my friends even had kids, I knew what this was!
This was on a list one of my friends sent me. This is totally one of those things that you need but probably wouldn’t think to buy right away! It’s adjustable and shatterproof!
This tub was made to get you all the way through to the toddler stage, so your little one won’t outgrow it super fast. The sling is for when they are a newborn, and then you can take it out as they grow! This comes in three colors, and came up on multiple lists that I researched!
I didn’t sure which brand of bottles to put, because every baby is different, but Emily’s babies loved these ones. A great tip I got from a friend is if you are going to buy a bottle warmer, make sure you get a universal one that will fit any brand, because your baby may prefer a different type!
I feel like this one is self-explanatory. Is it necessary? No. Do I want my baby to have warm wipes? Yes.
This is another one of Emily’s ride or die products. Whenever I am buying a baby gift, I always include one of these. Every single one of her kids slept in these!
Also self-explanatory, but my friends all say this is the best for diaper rash!
AKA the snot sucker (nasal aspirator if we are getting technical). This was on every single list that I researched and was sent to me my friends. Emily can attest that it is a game-changer!
This smart monitor comes with a sock that tracks your babies oxygen levels and heart rate and will alert you if something is wrong. Another product that came up on legit every single blog post or list that I researched.
This is the best of the best in baby bouncers – or so I hear! Folds flat to move from room to room, or to take to Grandma’s house!
If there is one thing that all the mamas I talked to suggested, it was a sound machine. This one doubles as a night light too. Emily has this exact one and loves it.
This lounger is specifically made for newborns. It is specifically designed for awake time and can be used until your baby is 16 lbs or can roll over on their own.

This baby carrier was recommended to me by my girlfriends, and is also dad-approved which is a huge win!
This was another item that people said they forgot to buy right away, but that they obviously needed and used all the time. They are super affordable, so you can get a few extras for Dad or whoever else is watching baby.
This particular diaper pail has won literally every single baby/registry award there is to win.
Because this heavier, it stays in your baby’s mouth easier, and it is easier for them to find and pick up on their own. And they’re just so stinking cute.
This is the best changing pad because it’s water and poo proof. You can just wipe it down with non-toxic wipes and it’s good as new! Plus that’s less laundry for you!
Ask for more than you think you need!
This product is not to be meant for you baby to be unattended in. It is not meant to go in a crib or a bassinet. It is a lounger, not a sleeper. That being said, I don’t know one mom who didn’t use it. Just do your research and keep a good eye. You can read their safety guidelines here.
