Since we are moving out of this house at the end of the month, I realized I never shared Baby Joe’s nursery so I wanted to post it before we moved! We are keeping everything the exact same for the new house, but our big project is going to be his playroom! Once we found out it was a boy, we knew we wanted an elephant theme. We were going to do bunnies if it was a girl! Joe really wanted a shark theme, but I quickly vetoed that! We wanted it to be super modern and neutral and I loved how it turned out!
Baby Joe’s Nursery
Baby Joe didn’t move into his room until he was four months old, which is why it took us a while to finish it and get everything finalized! We moved his Snoo into the corner until he was ready to fully transition to his crib! It worked out great for us. I knew that this would be the case and so we didn’t put a ton of pressure on ourselves on getting this room together since he was with us for the first few months! I am going to break down all of the big items, and then link everything I can at the end – just click on any of the images to shop!
Crib
This is the same crib that Caroline has – and I love it! It’s super modern but also totally neutral and cool! It has worked out great for us and is super easy to wipe down!
Mattress
This is by far one of my favorite things that we purchased for him! It is the safest mattress out there – it’s breathable, washable, and I can’t recommend it enough. Our little guy is a tummy sleeper and it gave us such peace of mind when we moved him into the crib!
Crib Sheets
These sheets are another item we swear by. We first ordered the PBK Elephant sheets to match the rest of the room (pictured in the photos) – but when the time came to actually move him to his crib – we realized they weren’t breathable at all. Like even we couldn’t breathe through them if we tried – so while they are gorgeous and cute – they weren’t for us. The Newton ones were night and day different and we haven’t looked back. Maybe when he gets a little older, we will switch back, but we love the Newton for now.
Dresser
We absolutely love this dresser – it comes in three colors and the hardware is gorgeous! We loved that we could add the Changing Topper right on top, and then take it off later! They also have a taller, more narrow option too, which we may add to his room eventually.
Rug
This rug is washable – and that’s all you need to know. We are big fans of Ruggable – you buy the mat and then you place the rug on top of it. They are actually super thin and go right in your washing machine. The runner in my try-ons is also by them and we are obsessed. Because we already have the mat, it will be super easy to change out once he outgrows the elephant stage!
Bookshelf
This was a gift from my Aunt and Uncle and I love how the display shows the covers. I think I actually bought this exact one for William, too!
Acrylic Shelf
This is my favorite thing in his nursery. It is SO cool and matches the crib perfectly. It was so fun to style, and you can do so many things with it as they grow!
Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree
We added this for a little bit of contrast. Since he was a baby, he loved staring at the one in our living room, so this was a great addition! We both have multiples throughout our homes and we love it!
Glider
This isn’t pictured because it’s still in my room, but since I’m done pumping it will be going into his room at the new house! I know a lot of people always question if you “need” this – let me just say – YES. This was my most used item for the past 6 months and I can’t imagine my life without it!
