Father's Day Gift Guide Part 2

A Father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow. – Unknown
Emily's Picks - Father's Day Gift Guide Part 2

I love Father’s Day, but my dad on the other hand – does not.
Well I guess I shouldn’t say that- it kind of makes him sound like the Grinch that hates Father’s Day – it’s just that he hates when anyone makes a fuss over him. He always says that he’d rather spend quality time with me than receive the perfect gift.
That being said – I’ve picked gifts that have to do with activities for fathers and daughters to enjoy together. The quality time you’ll spend together is sure to put a smile on your father’s face, and give you both memories that will last a lifetime.
Clockwise from top left
1.) A Fishing Trip: My dad loves to fish and I guess you could say he passed this down to me. Admittedly some of my favorite childhood memories are of waking up early, heading down to the tackle shop for some night crawlers, and setting out for a day of fishing with my father and grandfather. Fishing is such wonderful quality time, so a fully guided fishing trip for you and your dad makes for an awesome father/daughter experience.
2.) Polarized Ray Ban Aviators: The best sunglasses for long days golfing and boating- two of my father’s favorite pastimes.
3.) Personalized Needlepoint Belt by Smathers and Branson: “Life” belts are the gift for the Dad who has everything. You can customize them with your dad’s favorite hobbies, sports teams — even his monogram. Once he has a life belt of his own,  he’ll never leave the house without it.
Note: The customization process takes about 8 weeks from design to completion, but they have many other options.
4.) Customized Tervis Tumblers: Shatter proof and customizable – these tumblers are ideal for icy summer beverages – whatever your father fancies.
5.) Stubbs and Wootton Slippers: The ultimate dad gift, and with “a million” personalization options to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
6.) The Big Green Egg (Mini): Like Ashley’s dad, my dad also loves to BBQ, especially during the summer. Actually, both of our fathers are incredible chefs.
Ashley and I spent endless summer afternoons in her pool – and her dad would always make us his famous “marinated dogs” (hotdogs) and barbecue ribs when we were done tanning. Similarly, every time we would come home from college, my dad would make Ashley’s favorite pasta. Last but not least, every single Christmas – and still to this day- Ashley’s dad sends her to my house with three huge blocks of his famous fudge for me. Aren’t dad’s the best?
Anyhow – the Big Green Egg is the bees knees in terms of smoking – and the mini is the portable option for activities like camping and tailgating. Any dad that likes to cook for his daughter will love it.
7.) Barbour Jacket: My dad wears his all the time; it’s perfect for all of his favorite outdoor activities. If your dad doesn’t have one yet – or his is getting a little worn in (like my dad’s) this classic Barbour jacket is a perfect fit.
