We have always been fragrance people. And fragrances have always represented certain stages in our lives. I can’t think of Emily in college without smelling her Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, whereas I was a Tom Ford Black Orchid girl through and through. As we grew up, our tastes changed (I will never stop wearing Black Orchid, but I am open to wearing others now). When it comes to most things, our tastes are so different, with some similarities. Emily prefers light, airy and clean scents; whereas I am all about the dark, spicy, and masculine scents. So it may come as a surprise to you that every single scent featured in today’s post is loved by both of us.

When it comes to our homes and changing them up for the season, scent is the most affordable and practical way to transition. We use scent to distinguish between seasons, holidays, but also just every day. Today we are chatting all about how to refresh your home for spring using fragrance!
Diptyque:
We were both gifted this room spray for Christmas from our management company. We are longtime fans of the brand, and this particular scent – but for whatever reason, we have never tried the room spray. Wow! What a game-changer. We are both in love and use it all the time. Emily is already on her second bottle! When paired with the matching candle, the scent will be even more intense.
Jo Malone:
Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede was the scent we chose for our wedding. The bathrooms had the candles going, and the hand soaps at each sink. I can’t smell it now without being transported back to that magical day! I always have a few of her candles on hand – they are my favorites for around my bathtub – Blackberry & Bay is my second go-to scent. For Christmas this year, my mother-in-law gifted me the Poppy & Barley soap – and whoa. The scent is SO interesting and yummy. It’s definitely a conversation starter. No matter what scent or product you get: candles, hand soap or cologne – you and your home will be smelling 100.
Aesop:
Emily has been using Aesop for years now! There is one in every single bathroom of her house – and now mine too! It’s always one of our best sellers and here’s why: it’s made for hard-working hands that are washed a lot. Since my husband is in the automotive business he needs a heavy-duty hand soap at all times. This one smells amazing (both scents) and is formulated so it won’t dry out your skin. Plus the packaging is so gorgeous and acts as a piece of decor. One bottle will last you forever.
Overose:
I randomly discovered this brand when creating our Valentine’s Day Gift Guides – and OMG. I have truly never smelt a better candle in my life. After one use, it jumped to my favorite of all time – and now I need to try every single other scent.
