In my opinion – less is always more. Especially when it comes to hair tools. I have always been of the opinion that the less I have to use, the better. When I want to do my hair fast and furiously… and when I need it to look 100 in less than 15 minutes this is what I use. First things first – the T3 blowdryer is 100% a game changer. I usually try to let my hair air dry, but ever since I started using this blowdryer – my hair actually feels healthier when I use it vs air drying. It is legitimately some kind of crazy witchcraft, but it’s the kind I’m here for.
Anyhow… QVC has this blowdryer as their TSV today. This blowdryer/brush combo is usually $250. Today it is just $99 – or you can put it on easy pay and do 5 easy payments of $20. <<< I love that QVC always has this option. The way I see it… it allows everyone to get the best of the best… and that is something I am SO here for.
OK also – now I am about to talk about the straightener love of my life. But before I get to that… I want to tell you that the blowdryer and the straightener both have limited quantities. So if you’re wanting to take advantage of the lowest prices I have EVER seen on T3 items – do it now before they’re gone.
Next up – the T3 straightener. This deal is truly insane. This straightener is usually $160. And when I say it is the best of the best… it is truly the best of the best. For the way I do my hair – this is exactly what I need. It gets SUPER hot, super fast. The temperature it totally adjustable, so I can put it lower for my baby fine hairs. And last but not least – the cord rotates 360 degrees so I don’t get tangled while I am doing my hair – AND the cord doesn’t get all messy either. I swear – the little things sometimes make the biggest difference, and I cannot explain how true that is here.
Before You Curl Your Hair With A Straightener:
Ok… now to the curling. I get SOOOO many questions about how I do this. And everyone always says how hard they think it will be. Well I am here to tell you…. it’s not hard. Once you try it… you will never go back. I have been curling my hair this way for the greater part of 10 years.
Why I love it: It gives you these amazing, loose, textured waves that I just can’t achieve with a curling iron. I also love how fast curling with a straightener goes. 15 minutes MAX!!! The last thing I love about curling my hair with my T3 straightener is that the curls LAST FOREVER.
So here is a step by step tutorial with photos. I recommend trying the curling motion with your straightener unplugged a couple of times. It is a little bit different… so this will help you get the motion down. Also – that way you won’t damage your hair in any way. (FYI – I would recommend doing this with any kind of hot hair tool – not just a straightener.) Because these tools get to such high temps, it is important you get the feel for the motion before trying it on your hair.
Step By Step How To Curl Your Hair With A Straightener:
1.) Start with T3 blow dried hair if you can. I swear it makes a difference. That blowdryer is pure magic. Do not straighten your hair.
2.) Starting with the one in, section of hair closest to your face on the left hand side, brush out the section of hair.
3.) With your right hand… pick up the T3 straightener.
4.) With the straightener in your right hand and the section of hair in your left, point the straightener toward the ground, and clamp down on your hair.
5.) Moving very quickly… release the hair from your left hand and use your left hand to help the right hand turn the straightener around 360 degrees.
6.) Now pull through your hair.
7.) Twist the curl with your left hand.
8.) Repeat.
9.) When I am done with my whole head – I go through and straighten out the ends to give you that nice beachy and undone look. There you go! How to curl your hair with a straightener in less than 10 steps!
