William is turning two this weekend. Oh. My. Lord. And then… I turn 30…

So.. yeah. 🙂 I have feelings about both of these birthdays. I don’t think William getting older will ever get easier for me. As I am sure most of our mommy readers can relate to – watching your child grow older conjures up bittersweet and mixed emotions.

William loves to watch videos (of himself) on my Iphone. He is my child after all. And the other morning, before we got him ready for school, we were cuddling in bed and doing just that – watching William videos. We went way back to our trip to Italy (it was last year at this time) and I started tearing up as I realized how much he has grown in this short amount of time. On that same trip to Italy, he said “Momma” for the very first time ever, and I remember how it made my heart swell. I remember thinking, “It can’t get any better than this.” Now when I ask him, “How much do you love momma?” He’ll stretch his arms out wide to both sides and say “DIIIIISSSSSS MUUUUSSSHHHHH.” For those of you who follow me on Snapchat (thank you by the way – I love my snapfam) you know that William is THE most amazing kid. He tests our patience once in a while (what two year old doesn’t?) but for the most part, he is as sweet as can be.

And he’s funny. Without even knowing that he’s being funny. I recently went to lunch with a girlfriend, and she was saying (from watching Snapchat) that she couldn’t believe how amazing his cleaning habits are. I almost died – but it’s true. The kid loves vacuuming, swiffering, cleaning the counters, and he is always quick to point out when our house is what he deems, “MESSSSS”  with a very stern, pointed, index finger, and a scowl on his face. <<< Yes I know, we have created a clean freak monster, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Anyhow, this weekend we’re having a small little gathering for what William calls, “His Happy” and I am so excited to see him blow out his candles for the first time, and really understand what is going on!

As for me, I’m down to my last two weeks of maternity leave, and it’s really hitting home that it’s almost over. Every day I find myself holding and staring at David (for longer than is probably healthy) but I just can’t help it. His teachers at school are going to hate me for this, but I know this time is short, and he won’t be this little for long, so I am trying to soak up every last minute. I already feel like I want another baby again because he’s growing so fast.

Is it possible to have baby fever already? (For those wondering –YES– we would like to have more children.)

In blog news- we have so many amazing posts coming up next month. I PROMISE to get David’s birth story up (sorry I have been slacking), and we have so many fun collaborations to share with you as well. SPOILER ALERT: I’m hopping in a bathing suit 6 weeks after having a baby for one of these posts. I know, I know… I’m legitimately crazy. <<< We’ll see how that goes. I have mixed feelings about it, but that is what blogging is all about – being open, and vulnerable, and as authentically you as you can be. So, as I said, we’ll see! I’m also starting to write a life & style column for one of our local magazines – so get excited for that! I cannot wait to share it with you!

And then there’s the big 3-0.  I turn 30 in less than two weeks. Gahhh!!! I know a lot of people freak out about leaving their twenties and they feel like 30 is SOOOO old.  But honestly, I’ve always felt older than my years, and 30 really isn’t phasing me. I feel like I lived my twenties exactly how I wanted to. So I welcome 30 with open arms. <<< I’ll post more on this next week, and I cannot wait to see what my thirties have in store!

So that is it for this week. If you want to follow along with my day to day life more closely, hop on Instastories, or follow me on Snapchat @efarren <<< you’re sure to see all sorts of “the crazy” that is my life nowadays! As for this outfit – the shirt is unreal. It comes in 7 – yes 7- colors and I think I need one of each. It’s that easy, packable, cotton that never wrinkles. I would highly recommend it, and I am wearing a size Small. Also – you don’t have to tie it in front – I just did because it looks SO cute! The jeans are amazing as well, they’re super soft, extremely affordable, and they run 100% true to size. As for the shoes – these are MY SHOES for the spring. I literally try to wear them every single day. I love the color, the bow is SO me, and they’re super comfortable. They also run true to size.

Alright loves, take care, have a wonderful weekend, and if you want to watch William’s “Happy”, stay tuned on Snapchat (@efarren) and Instastories too! XooX
