Now to the 27 Weeks pregnant part of things.
My heartburn is raging.
I hate my clothes.
And I crave diet Dr. Pepper all the time. <<< eww, gross, I know. I am not usually a soda person, at all. I really don’t know what is wrong with me, but I am obsessed with it right now. #sorrynotsorry
But – I am trying to keep it all in perspective.
My girlfriend Sarah, who blogs over here <<< go check out her blog – I love her… posted something on Instagram last week that I promptly shared with a couple of my closest girlfriends. It really hit home, and I think it’s an important reminder – for everyone.

Obviously…. I ordered that book. It’s really easy for me – at 27 weeks pregnant, with my crazy kids, my busy schedule, and my life generally in shambles to start feeling overwhelmed. I think we’re all guilty of this. But if I change my perspective – just a little – things start to look different. I am abundantly blessed to have made it to 27 weeks of this pregnancy. I am beyond lucky to be able to carry life. There are many women who pray every night to be so blessed. My crazy kids – my busy schedule – and my life in shambles – I am lucky to have all of these things. To have children, to have a job, to have friends, to have a loving husband, to have a home that is a mess – these are all beautiful blessings, and I am fortunate to have them all.
So at 27 weeks pregnant with our third child (sometimes we already feel like we’re in the thick of it with two kids) – I’m really trying to adjust my view. Every time the negatives start to overwhelm me… I try to adjust my perspective, see things in a different light, and smile about the positives.
We all have things to smile about and to be thankful for – sometimes we just have to look. And heck… if it takes a diet Dr. Pepper, a shake and some fries to get there once in a while… so be it. 🙂
