To me, there is nothing that screams holidays more than a pair of Ugg slippers. Not only do they make the best gifts, but all of my memories over the years always happen at home – in my slippers. Whether it’s making fudge with my dad, wrapping gifts, eating Christmas morning breakfast or watching the Niners – I am ALWAYS wearing my Ugg slippers. Multiply this by 100 since I’m pregnant. There is no better feeling in the world than coming home and putting these on. They feel like clouds on your feet and will last you forever.
If you looked back on my wardrobe staples from high school, college, or even five years ago — one thing has not changed a bit and that is my love for the classic short Ugg boot. In fact, this is the first time I am replacing mine since 2000 something. These babies have lasted me OVER fifteen years and I wore them hard. When I was teaching in Daly City (think cold, foggy, Seattle vibes) my classroom was outside and so I wore them every single day. I wear them on the plane, I wear them to football games, I wear them with leggings, jeans, you name it. There is no better winter shoe than this boot!
It’s William’s first year in Ski School and I needed something to wear to the mountain. I wanted something fashionable but functional to be able to take him up to the snow every weekend, but also something I can throw on to keep me warm throughout the week. When I wear bulkier items, I always end up feeling claustrophobic. Anything that is too warm or constricting is not the boot for me. They allow my ankle to breathe, without sacrificing keeping my feet warm and dry. I can also layer with a boot sock if I need to. The moon boot trend is one of my favorites this year and if you want to try the trend out in an understated way these boots by one of the most classic boot brands of all time are the way to go. We have both had multiple pairs of Hunter boots – not only do they stand the test of time style-wise, but the quality lasts as well.
If you really want to lean into the moon boot trend as I did, then these are the boots for you. They are the perfect mix of the trendiest sneaker, with a snow boot and are sure to turn heads wherever you go. The colors of these boots are super fun and can jazz up a usually boring and dark winter outfit. Not only are these super comfortable, but they are crazy warm and will complete any winter outfit. I love that they’re easy to throw on for when my kids want to go outside during the first snow. I love that you can just slip them on and go, instead of the usual complicated and time-consuming snow boot lace situation.
