Thank you so much to Walmart Baby for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
Something that I had huge anxiety about, has quickly become one of my favorite activities to do with Baby Joe. As most of you know, I suffer from anxiety pretty bad. And becoming a mom has changed me so much already, I am more calm, grounded and patient. I don’t have anxiety over big things as much anymore. But I did have anxiety about a few “firsts” – baby’s first bath, leaving the house alone with him for the first time, first diaper change in public, first time taking the car seat off the stroller etc. Luckily sweet boy takes after mama and loves bath time. Today I am going to share all of our favorite bath products!
Bath Time with Baby Joe
4 in 1 Bathtub
Before we get down to all of the products we use for bath time, I wanted to share the actual bathtub we use. If I have Joe home helping me, this is what we use! We set it at the bottom of our tub and it’s perfect. We love this because we can use this for years to come as Baby Joe grows.
Blooming Bath
We used this for sponge baths when we got home from the hospital, and if I am solo bathing him – I just toss this in the sink for a super-fast bath. He despises being cold, so this is amazing. I also love how you can wash and dry this!
Hooded Towel
As I mentioned above, this kid HATES being cold. It’s actually so bad that we laugh every single day – he is v dramatic. Because of this we need the hooded towel on hand and have to put him in it within seconds, followed by lots and lots of cuddling in front of the heater.
Bath Set
If Joe is anything like me, sensitive skin will be an issue. I didn’t want to take any chances – so we have been using this super clean, new brand, Pipette. It was created with the support of biologists, pediatricians and dermatologists and is hypoallergenic, free of synthetic fragrances, cruelty-free, and EWG (Environmental Working Group) Verified. This set comes with shampoo, lotion, oil, balm and wipes!
Dermafrida
He either has very dry skin on his forehead, or is beginning to get cradle cap – either way – this has been helping SO much. Plus he seems to really enjoy the way it feels on his skin. We are huge fans of all of their products, and this one is no different. Since we use silicone loofahs on ourselves, why wouldn’t we on baby too?
Rinser
This is one of those items that you forget to buy, but absolutely need. Thank goodness someone gave it to me at my baby shower or we would have been scrambling during his first real bath.
Wooden Hair Set
This was another gift from my shower that I wouldn’t have bought on my own! They are not only so cute, but they work so well. He really loves to get his hairbrush after a bath – I think it calms him down while he is waiting to not be so cold, lol. I have found that regular use really helps with his dry skin, too!
Baby Buddy Sponge
This is what they sent us home from the hospital with, so we knew that it was safe to use on our baby. We wanted something super soft and natural to use on him during bath time and this one is great!
